Ivan Dmitri - Early US Warplane Print This is a print of a US warplane circa 1944 by Ivan Dmitri (Levon West - 1900 - 1968). It was one of a series for a calendar for American Airlines showing their role in the war. Also known as Ivan Dmitri, Levon West gained international fame for his portrayals in color photography, etchings and watercolors. An accomplished photographer, West went on assignment for"The Saturday Evening Post", "Rodeo", "Dude Ranching", and other publications. He wrote books on etching and photography including "Flight to Everywhere." by Dmitri, Ivan, Illustrated. Publisher: New York: Whittlesey House, 1944
The print measures 14 3/4" wide x 10" high. The frame dimensions are - 25 1/4" wide x 21 1/4" high. Signed at bottom of photograph. Condition: Stains on the mat and the photograph on the left side. The frame is in good condition.
