Vintage Fred Booty Print - "This Strangest Old Arab"

The complete rhyme is:

"This strangest old Arab whom no person knows,

With his Cat and his Camel and bundles of clothes,

Travels all the day long and by night time as well...

Where he comes from or goes to there's no one can tell!

This is a beautiful old print from the Australian artist and illustrator Fred Booty. Fred Booty (1879-?)  was born in Sydney and moved to Perth during the 1890s. He worked as an illustrator and cartoonist for several publications. He moved to Melbourne in 1906 and became part owner of a lithographic press and produced drawings for the Bulletin and the Gadfly. His postcard work was mainly humorous.

Original wood frame and backing in good condition. There is some staining, no rips or tears. Signed on bottom - Fred Booty.

 Print size - 6 " wide x 7 1/2" high. Frame size - 8" wide x 10" high.

Due to the age, quality, and condition of the print, we estimate that this piece would bring at auction $30.00  to $50.00.
